Visual journalist

Born a wide-eyed curious little explorer, I wanted to see, touch, and taste everything. I was an adventure for my parents, who always had to chase me around as a child. This need for discovery led me to photography. I was able to be an observer and artist, playing with light, creating, and capturing special moments. It began in the darkroom with black and white film and at first was a form of artistic expression. But after traveling to many different countries and experiencing new cultures and ways of life I decided I wanted to do more with photography. I witnessed the negative after-effects of war on children in Vietnam and lots of other injustices all around the world. That’s where my need to study photojournalism was born. I studied photojournalism and documentary film at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California. I’m passionate about nature conservation, wildlife, and indigenous peoples as well as many other topics. My work is mainly journalistic but I don’t limit myself to photojournalism. I do street photography, portraiture, nature and animals, weddings and other events, and sometimes sport photography.
