Jason Brad Cooper

Ventura, California
Jason Brad Cooper, once my neighbor in the quaint city of Ventura, California, is originally from Austin, Texas. Former country musician, Cooper is also a custom saddle maker and has many other skills. At the time this picture story was created Brad was managing a leather crafts shop called Tandy leather, where he occasionally hosted some workshops teaching people how to get started with leather crafting, carving, and design. Brad was transferred from the shop in Austin, Texas to the shop in Ventura. “It sure is a long way from home”, says Cooper. But he has no trouble making friends and sharing his love of music with other people. He often participated in Caffrodite’s Open Mic Night held on Thursday’s. And those who had the chance to see him perform there were most certainly entertained. Amongst the locals he was particularly known for a song called “Rub’N’Tug,”which is quite comical, but based off an experience that took place in a massage parlour. Brad has a way to turn every situation into something positive and often something to laugh about.
